What The Bleep Do We Know!

30 Sep

Do all realities exist simultaneously? Is there a possibitty that all potential’s exist side by side? Have you ever seen yourself through the eyes of someone else you have become? And looked at yourself through the eyes of the ultimate observer?

Saddle up kids I am about to get deep!  Today we are talking about Quantum physics, which is is the physics of possibility.

I was given a copy of the documentary “What the Bleep Do We Know” and I was blown away. I have had to watch it a few times to let it sink in and I thought I would share my notes with you.

Please note alot of today’s blog is quotes takes directly from the doco – I know I sound super smart today but it’s really the  scientists on the documentary talking not me!!

This documentary explores the topics of quantum physics, our power to manifest and what our thoughts are made of.  It also demonstrates the power of our thoughts and emotions on our lives and the power they have to create our reality.

Scientists have carried out experiments which have shown the effects of words on molecules of water. Words of love and words of hate have changed the molecules of water. If these words and thoughts can change the molecules of water, then you can imagine what they are doing to us when we are made up of 90% water!

Modern materialism strips people of the need to feel responsible and often enough so does religion. But if you take quantum mechanics it takes the responsibility and puts it in your lap.

So often we keep recreating the same experience, the same realities, and the same jobs. We have so many options that exist that we are unaware of. Is it possible that but we are so conditioned to our daily lives and the way we create our lives that we buy the idea that we have no control at all.

You have been conditioned to believe the world outside of you is more real than the inside world but the new model of science says the exact opposite, that what is happening within us is what will create what is happening outside of us.

Scientists have been asking the question does the brain see or do the eyes see and what is reality,  is it what is seeing with the brain or seeing with our eyes?

The truth is that the brain does not know difference between what it sees in the environment and what it remembers. It’s the same neuro-transmitters that are fired off. So the question is what is reality?

A lot of the time when we tell ourselves a story of what the outside world is, information that we process or take in from what we see in our outside environment, is always coloured by the experiences that we have had and emotional response to these experiences

We know physiologically that nerve cells that fire together wire together so if we practice something over and over again those nerve cells have a long term relationship. If you get angry on a daily basis, if you get emotional or suffer on a daily basis you are rewiring that neural net on a daily basis and that neural net now has a long term relationship with all those other nerve cells called an identity. Nerve cells that don’t fire together will not wire together they lose their long time relationships so every time we interrupt a thought process that produces an chemical response in the body, every time we interrupt those nerve cells starting breaking their long term relationship.

When we start interrupting by observing the effects it takes then we are no longer the body mind emotional person who is responding to its environment like it is automatic.

Emotions are designed to reinforce something chemically into long term memory.

All emotions are holographically imprinted chemicals

Our brains are one of the most impressive pharmacies! Chemicals are produced to match each emotion we have on a daily basis.

Most of us as adults who have experienced things along the way become either detached or over emotional as if we are operating like it was yesterday. We are stuck in the same feelings and emotions due to this chemical reaction in the body that has build up a long term relationship.

Each cell in alive and has a consciousness.

And addiction is something that we can’t stop and we always bring to ourselves situations the fulfil the biochemical craving of the cells of our body by creating situations that meet our bodies chemical needs!

If you can’t control your emotional state – you must be addicted to it!

If we  bombarded the cell with the same attitudes and the same chemistry over and over again on a daily basis, when that cell finally decides to divide when it produces a sister cell or a daughter cell that next cell will have more recepticides for those particular emotional neuron peptides and less recepticides for vitamins, nutrients, fluid exchange, and even the release of toxins.

If the cell doesn’t even have the recepticides after 20 years of emotional abuse to even to receive or let in the nutrients it needs for its health than nutrition doesn’t play the part we think it does. We need to sort out our emotions first!

We are so hypnotised with the environment that has been created by our society and the media that so many people struggle with their emotions and lack inspiration to make their life better.

If you ask yourself = what is life about, why am I here, what is reality, etc than your old patterns and thoughts may start to fall apart and this is when you can create new patterns of thinking.

The good news is that we can rewire our brain and make room for new ways of thinking. We can make choices to separate ourselves from the addiction of the emotion even if it means withdrawal symptoms from those chemical reactions.

The brain is capable of so many incredible things and our minds have the power to create powerful changes in our lives. It can change and adapt and help us to transcend ourselves. It can take us to a higher level of ourselves where we can make more meaning to our lives my understanding the way the world works and understanding each other to make the world a better place.

We have to  be so concrentrated on what we want and have so much of our awareness and focus on it that we lose track of ourselves and time and our identity. The moment we lose track of ourselves, we lose track of time that picture is the only picture that is real. When we make up our mind that we have wanted something, then this is quantum physics in action . This  is manifesting into reality and it’s the observer in full affect.

Your consciousness influences others around you, it influences material properties and your future, and you are co-creating your future.

You are much more that you think you are, you can influence the environment and the people. You can influence the future. You are responsible for all those things. You are not separate from any of those things. You are connected to it all. You are never alone, we are all one.

We are here to be creators and make something of this life. When your shift of perspective takes place you have been enlightened and you can make radical changes in your life! Its not about covering up your negative thoughts with positive ones. It being aware of your thoughts and choosing to shift them which will change the cells in your body.

We must pursue knowledge without any interference from our addictions and when we can do that we will manifest knowledge in reality and our bodies will experience things in new ways and new chemistry and new holograms.

Dr Joe Dispenza starts his day by saying this little pray

“I am taking the time to create my day and I am effecting the quantum field . Now if in fact the observer (God, higher self,  spirit, the universe, whatever you want to call it) is watching the whole time I am doing this and there is spiritual aspect to myself, than show me a sign today that you paid attention to any one of the things I created and bring them in a way that I won’t expect so that I am as surprised at my ability to be able to experience these things and make it so that I have doubt that it comes from you”.

Phew! I know that was all very deep and intense, if you made it this far, well done!! I encourage you all to find a copy of this documentary as there is so much to learn from it.

Don’t just take all this information at face value, test it out. See how far you can go with creating a spectacular life! Anything is possible!

How are you going to change your thoughts?? Leave a comment and let’s discuss.

Raw Choco Mousse Brownies

29 Sep

By now you may realise I have a little chocolate obsession! But gone are the days that I eat a family size block of Cadbury Caramello or Coconut Rough – oh those were they days! Good news is that I have discovered so many amazing chocolate recipes that have great whole food ingredients without sugar and are actually good for you! Woohoo!

This wickedly delicious recipe is thanks to Elenore Bendel Zahn of earthsprout.org and my favourite wellness activist Kriscar.com

Makes: 12 pieces

  • 1 1/4 cup cashew nuts
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  • 3/4 cup cacao powder -1/2 cup carob powder
  • 30 small pitted dates / 20 large dates
  • 1/4 cup virgin organic coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon Almond oil
  • 2 small pinches of Himalayan salt/sea salt
  • 1 pinch of chilli (depending on how spicy yours is)

Soak the nuts and seeds in a bowl for at least 5 hours, rinse well and mix into a nut butter. Soak the dates and mix into a date paste with just a small amount of the soaking water left.

Carefully melt the coconut oil over heated water.

Mix all the ingredients except the water which you put in last to adjust the consistency of the batter if it is to firm. Press the mix into a lined cake pan or mould with your loving clean hands to get that final touch!

Let set in the fridge for at least two hours and then take it out half an hour before serving so get a wee bit gooey. Let your imagination free and decorate with what ever seems great to you! Maybe some cacao powder, bee pollen and edible flowers.

* I’m way to impatient to soak the nuts for 5 hours and mine turned out ok, so it’s up to you whether you want to follow this step.

How to Reduce Inflammation With Food

27 Sep

Did you know that the root of many disease is inflammation?

Inflammation in the body does not just occur when we hurt ourselves, or are sick. Many people have a low-grade chronic inflammation which basically means slight swelling throughout the whole body, within the blood vessels.

Inflammation is the body’s way of reacting to something not being quiet right. Without getting too scientific, your body’s immune system will cause inflammation as a way of healing and protecting itself. For instance if you have a bacterial infection in your throat, then your immune system will set up a wall of inflammation to isolate the bacteria so that the rest of the immune system can do its job.

What is becoming alarming is that it’s not just bacteria and injury that results in this type of immune system response but it is also certain foods. In fact the standard western diet is one of the main causes of inflammation.  Our high consumption of sugar, processed foods, soda’s, dairy and animal protein have created very inflamed bodies and this is leading to many diseases. Scientific research has shown that it is a contributor to heart disease, alzheimer’s, diabetes and may even be a contributing factor to Cancer.

One of the best ways to reduce and prevent inflammation in your body is to lean towards a plant-based diet. It does not mean you have to totally cut out meat but defiantly reducing your consumption will help. It is also vital that you have a balance of Alkaline and Acid in your diet with 60-80% alkaline foods. In other words, as I say in many of my posts, eat more greens!!

If you’re suffering from inflammation due to an injury you need to get acquainted with a herb called Turmeric. Turmeric is a spice used regularly in Indian cooking but you can also buy it in high concentrates as a supplement. Cooking with Turmeric is a great way to reduce inflammation but I absolutely rave about the supplement to treat inflammation in the body. Last year I had shoulder bursitis (inflammation of the fluid bags) for 4 months.  This was one of the worst things I have ever had as the pain was ridiculous! What’s worse about this condition is that when your shoulder is kept still the fluid bags fill which increases the inflammation and pain. Lying down at night was impossible and I had to take so many drugs to get through my desk job. I was living off ant-inflammatory drugs, painkillers and sedatives to get through the day! After months of doing this a new massage therapist gave me a Turmeric supplement and it was a miracle. It eased the pain and was actually good for my digestive system (compared to the danger of anti-inflammatory drugs on your stomach). My body healed within a month of taking this supplement!

I now try to use Turmeric as much as I can in my cooking or even just to sprinkle on a salad. (Go to the recipe page for a great Turmeric Quinoa dish!)

Aside from your alkalizing greens and Tumeric the best foods for fighting inflammation are:

  • Salmon
  • Olive Oil
  • Garlic
  • Ginger
  • Sweet potatoes
  • Blueberries
  • Green Tea

A lot of people are motivated to eat clean to lose weight and look good but reducing inflamation should be up there in the reason’s to start your clean eating plan! Left untreated inflammation can cause a host of health problems so stat being mindful of what you are eating and reduce the animal products, processed foods, sugar, alcohol and start eating lots of healthy fats particularly foods high in omega 3, lots of greens, and the foods above.

Keep a Food Journal to Lose Weight!

25 Sep

“I have been really good, eating healthy and training hard but I still not getting results!” How many of you have said this or heard your friends saying this? I hear it all the time!

My question is –  are you really eating well?  Or do you fail to count the grazing that you do at work? Are you filling up on processed and sugar filled “diet” products and weight loss shakes? Or maybe you are eating well all week and then binge drinking on the weekend!

It’s very easy to lose track of what you are consuming every day so that’s why one of the best ways to see what is really going into your body is to keep a food journal.

My PT asked me to fill out a food journal while I was training with him and although I no longer train with a PT I still try to keep a food journal.  You can download different templates online or keep note on your phone notes. I personally like to use SlimKicker.com so that I can see clearly whether I am eating enough protein, carbs and not too much sodium etc. (slimkicker and other apps are awesome for this as you can type in the food and it will calculate the nutritional value)

I am by no means suggesting that you become obsessive about journaling but sometimes we are so rushed throughout the day that we don’t even realise what we are putting in our mouths! When you know that you have to write it down you are more mindful about what you are eating.

Getting results, whether you would like to lose or gain weight or even just to increase your energy levels and be healthier is 80% (if not more) diet so if you aren’t achieving your goals you need to look closely at your diet.

Having an overview of your food week enables you to look at where you need to add more vegetables or protein and cut back on other things.

It is also helpful if you think you may have a food intolerance as you can also record your symptoms after eating to see if there is a pattern.  For example I was really nausea every day for weeks and when I was reviewing my food journal I could see that I had started to eat grapes at work every day. Grapes are not a fruit I normally eat but at work we get so much free fruit that I was consuming loads of grapes all day without even thinking. Grapes are one of the most “sprayed” fruits so the pesticide levels are very high and can cause a lot of issues (another co-worker was breaking out in a rash from all the grapes!). I didn’t even realise I was eating so many grapes until I saw it written down! Once I stopped eating them I was fine again.

Why not start a food journal this week and if you’re brave ask someone who you know eats well or works in fitness to take a look at your diet and see if there are areas you could improve?

Chocolate Raspberry “Ice Cream"

24 Sep

It’s warming up in my neck of the woods (Sydney, Australia) so it’s time to rediscover my favourite cooling deserts! I have been lactose intolerant for many years so this is a perfect alternative to ice-cream and of course a heck of a lot healthier!

1/2 cup of frozen raspberries (frozen strawberries or mixed berries would also be lovely)
-1/2 an avocado
-2 big handfuls of baby spinach leaves
-2 tablespoons (or more) of raw cacao powder
-1.5 cups of water
-2 trays of ice cubes
-1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
-2 drops of liquid stevia or about 50 drops (you can use a lot more as this was not overly sweet)

Blend all ingredients together until it forms a thick, smooth ice cream consistency. If you don’t have a high-powered blender, you might want to add more water. Or try blending in parts.

This recipe is bought to you via http://www.caseylorraine.com
